本期杂志的第二专辑介绍了刘家琨及其建筑工作室。游走于建筑与文学之间，立足于当下，根植于建筑的地域性和社会性，刘家琨以现实和批判的态度积极实践。本 专题除了展示其近期实践外，对他的访谈挖掘了其作品及策略背后的思想，钟文凯的论文回顾了家琨工作室的近期实践，详细分析并梳理了其各阶段作品的内在联 系；另有朱涛的论文关注了建筑师设计工作背后的社会责任感。

A never-ending succession of large-scale projects in Beijing has attracted the world’s attention, and at times it seems as if the entire city is one large construction site. This issue focuses on the dynamism of contemporary Beijing, in the particular moment of 2008 Olympics, delivering many pages of exclusive photos that reveal previously untouched aspects of three most notable and eagerly anticipated projects – the National Stadium Beijing, the Beijing National Aquatics Center, and the China Central Television Headquarters, from their location in the city to details that are now taking shape. In addition, this issue also explores many of the other projects that are currently reshaping the map of Beijing.

The 2nd feature of this issue introduces Jiakun Liu and his recent works. With an attitude of realism and critical analysis, Jiakun Liu combines architecture and literature together. Besides, we intend to excavate the connotations of the works and the strategies in the interview with Jiakun Liu. In Wenkai Zhong’s thesis, we retrospect the recent activities of Jiakun Architects, analyzing in detail and straightening out the internal relationships among works in different phases. The essay written by Tao Zhu focuses on the social responsibility of the architects.
